The things you do in life with no expectation to get something back for what you give are the most fulfilling. That’s the true definition of volunteering. A few years ago I decided that it was important for me to find meaningful ways to give back to the community I love. Life is meaningless without service to others and our planet. You can “have it all” but at the end of the day it’s the community you build, the kindness you give, the service you have contributed to the world that really matters. Last year one recipient, pictured, benefitted from my scholarship for aspiring Public Land Management majors and this year two students will receive the scholarship at @usuaggielife in conjunction with the Moab 240 Endurance Run and the late Stephen Jones’ amazing family. The scholarship is in the name of the late ultrarunner/father Stephen Jones. RIP my friend 💜 Of all the things I’ve created this is one of the most meaningful to me. It was my tribute to Stephen, honoring his memory and giving back to his family and the community in a way I felt would honor their son/father/husband/brother’s memory. @destinationtrailraces #publiclandowner #service #publicland #giveback #utah#beautahful #moab200 #moab240 #moab #utah #usfs #blm #destinationtrail
