Today’s stage was nothing short of madness. The riders left the neutral start and mere moments after we could hear the race radio mentioning an attack - it got brought back. Then another attack, brought back again. This went forward and back and repeated until eventually one attack seemed to hold. Ruben and Kristian we’re away this time until Kristian fell back leaving just our Grand Tour veteran ‘El Profesor’ away on his second breakaway in as many days. The pace today was ferocious and did not relent even slightly until the feed zone by which time teams had to slow up to take on water and food. You can be sure that there are some very sore bodies in hotels around Teramo tonight. In the end, Pello Bilbao took the stage after managing to stay away in a small bunch with a very smart attack near the end. In order to win today, you would need power, pace, staying ability and smarts. It was a very well earned win and we tip our gap to him 🎩
