Kim Conley is an American distance runner that currently runs the 1500m-half marathon distances. Kim grew up in Santa Rosa, CA where she attended Montgomery High School and was a member of the Santa Rosa Express Track Club. Kim spent her college years at UC Davis where she competed in the 1500m and 5000m for the Aggies. In 2009 Kim graduated from UC Davis and decided to pursue post-collegiate running, while also serving as a coach in the UC Davis program. Over the course of the next three years Kim gradually shaved time off her PR's and climbed her way up the ranks of American distance running. Kim emerged definitively on the scene at the 2012 Olympic Trials in the 5000m where she mounted a comeback effort over the final lap, culminating in a sprint down the home stretch to move from 5th place to a 3rd place, Olympic qualifying spot, earning the Olympic A standard by .21 seconds in the process. Kim went on to represent the US at the Olympic Games as well as at the 2013 World Cross Country Championships in Poland and the 2013 World Track and Field Championships in Moscow, where she finished 12th. In 2014 Kim accomplished another career milestone by winning her first national title in the 10,000m at the US Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
