Reaction of Bjorg Lambrecht Official after his great performance today:

"It was my intention to be part of the early breakaway, but that didn't work out, because of my position in the back of the peloton. I felt good today, so I took my chance and attacked on the last hill of the stage before the descent to Jussac."

"I have to admit that I am really disappointed about the result. I could almost smell the podium, but we got caught at 500 metres from the finish line and that's very frustrating. Nevertheless, my performance gives me a lot of confidence for the next days. "
