The @dolomiti_extreme_trail was a hard one.
I’m not complaining. I did win the race but you know sometimes some days are just way harder than you planned and this is probably the time where you really improve and break new barriers.
Last Sunday I felt empty from the start but I just kept doing the best I could.
Why?
- First Because being surrounded by my home mountains it has gave me the power that was not in my legs.
- Second I have this big beast coming in 20 days, the 90 km of Chamonix. So you know, it was like running half way so... I just reminded myself that if what I was doing was hard, what I was planning to do would have been impossible.
So, in order to make that possible I figured that I was just going through a hard day, that the hard work would have paid off!
- Third, damn it I’m running (hiking) and it’s awesome! Why should I complain!?
