YOGA POST RUN to RECOVER
Yesterday we headed along to Jess Smith Yoga for an amazing workshop specifically designed for runners. I practice yoga daily, & learnt a lot from this class. I did push myself hard, during the class, and I remember Jess saying at the start that, going easier is better as it is important not to over stretch (note to self). I found the workshop focused on poses that are not ordinarily in yoga classes, apart from the usual staple type poses ie, childs pose. Today I’ve felt even though it is a recovery day after running a 10 km at 4.16 pace, that my running today feels easier, my hips are more open and I feel free. I highly recommend going along to a personal session with Jess too, get in contact with her. Endurance Athlete looks forward to our women’s running retreat and having Jess along in 2019.
