It was the end of a 175km running week and Last weekend I ran the Scri Chinmoy 30km race in Christchurch in hot conditions. It was a fast flat course & I ran through the ten km in 43 mins, running the half marathon in 1.34 (30) and then pushing it the last ten km. The last few months I’ve changed my training a lot and my mental resilience has improved. I am working towards racing the National 100km road champs in May. Next race for me if the Buller Gorge Marathon, (I’m racing the half) and then three weeks later the New Plymouth marathon. I love racing, though I don’t race too much now and I am following a training process, which I’ve stuck to for the past 6 months. Often I’ll run twice a day, though I make sure I recover well which has made all the difference. How do you recover?
Please contact this page if you need help with running and a training plan.
