4 mile steady state (which translates to marathon effort). Followed by 8 x 1 min on, 1 min off. 5:40, 5:39, 5:38, 5:39. The fartlek was between 5:15 and 5 min pace. We didn’t set the world on fire, but I learned to be uncomfortable again. I also don’t know how I ran a marathon 4 weeks ago at this pace but that’s the ebb and flow of fitness. Today was hard, fun, and a necessary building block. Thanks @alicewright139 for almost making it appear I didn’t do this workout.
