In 1947 the first Critérium du Dauphiné began and ended in Grenoble, the capital city of the Dauphiné region.Grenoble was known as the world’s luxury glove capital and had been manufacturing gloves since 1328, reaching its height during the late 18th century.There are only a handful of specialist glove makers left in Grenoble, manufacturing high end gloves.🧤
